Angela Dunn was born in England, but has lived for nearly 25 years in south-west France. In July 1970 she received a cadaver kidney at Royal Air Force Hospital, Halton. The operation was performed by Professor Sir Roy Calne. Since then she has lived a normal life, without restrictions. She competed in the Transplant Games for nearly 20 years, both nationally for Cambridge and internationally at the World Transplant Games in New York, Athens, Amsterdam and Innsbruck, where she was British team captain.
