Dr. Abduzhappar Gaipov is a board-certified nephrologist in Kazakhstan. He obtained his MD degree from Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (Shymkent, Kazakhstan) and graduated his Doctorate program in Clinical Science (Internal Medicine) from National Scientific Medical Center (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan).
Dr. Gaipov has completed 18 months ERA-EDTA research fellowship program in 2011-2012 years (Selcuk University Meram School of Medicine, Konya, Turkey) as well as Advisory program granted by ERA-EDTA. He has also completed his Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar supported by ISN Research Fellowship and spent 1.5 years between January 2017 to July 2018 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, USA. Dr. Gaipov has gained knowledge, skills and experiences working with large database management and analyzing these data using advanced statistical methods. This experience helped him to initiate similar databases analysis returning to his home country.
Currently, Dr. Gaipov started his academic career as an assistant professor at the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine. He has published more than 70 peer-review papers and he provides the role of editor and reviewer in many journals. Dr. Abduzhappar Gaipov is active member of ISN, ERA-EDTA, TTS, Turkic World Transplantation Society and general secretary of Kazakhstan Society of Nephrologists, Dialysis and Transplant Physicians. He also board member of YNP (ERA-EDTA) and YNC (ISN) and depute chair of ISN NIS&Russia region.
